Eight, AZ Public Broadcasting, is proud to air Sid the Science Kid Monday through Friday, and on Sundays as part its children’s programming block. This PBS KIDS science-readiness series and interactive Web site for preschool children, their parents, and caregivers, also includes an educational outreach training program. Both on-air and online resources help children develop habits of observation and thinking that will prepare them for a lifetime of learning and exploring the world.
The Sid the Science Kid educational outreach training program will provide parents and care providers of preschool children with the confidence, knowledge and resources they need to nurture and guide their children’s science learning. It will also support adult-child interactions that will spark children’s natural curiosity, and create fun, memorable experiences. By using the series and the off-air extension resources, parents and caregivers will help children learn how to explore and understand the world around them.
