KAET's Education Portal, ASSET,
Launches New Public Web Site
for Arizona Families: ASSET@Home
KAET’s ASSET (Arizona School
Services through Educational Technology) has announced the launch
of a new public Web site specifically designed for the students
and families of Arizona. ASSET@Home, available at http://www.asset.asu.edu,
will offer links to valuable resources including MathActive,
a collection of interactive standards-based math lessons developed
by ASSET-KAET. In addition, there will be areas for students
to access a streamed video library and educational tutorials
using a special student pass code that can be provided by Arizona
public and charter school teachers.
All Arizona public and charter
school educators are trained to use these resources by ASSET’s
team of professional development specialists. Educators also
learn how to create student pass codes for the streamed video
library and educational tutorials. A public school district
or charter school can schedule training by sending an email
to asset@asu.edu.
ASSET’s services are provided
to educators through a membership consortium. The Arizona Department
of Education is providing ASSET membership services to all Arizona
public and charter schools through project IDEAL (Integrating
Data to Enhance Arizona’s Learning). The ASSET Education
Portal has been integrated with IDEAL, a single location on
the Internet for educators to access resources and services
to increase student achievement.
