Kim Storey will introduce you to The Cat in the Hat Knows a
Lot About That™! This new PBS children’s series, presented
by KQED, premieres nationally on September 6th, 2010. The first
season consists of 40 exciting episodes starring Martin Short as
the voice of The Cat in the Hat.
The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!™ uses Seussian
wit and whimsy to spark a love of learning and a lively interest
in science in preschool-aged children. The TV series and online
resources are designed to cultivate positive views about science
and scientists among the next generation—the children who will become
tomorrow’s citizens and innovators—and help teachers and families
build communities of science explorers.
Come view clips from the programs and watch the Cat in the Hat,
along with his friends Sally and Nick, embark on science adventures,
such as flying with birds to discover how and why they migrate or
taking a snowcat to the Arctic to explore freezing and melting.
