PBS KIDS FAMILY PLAY DAY (Ages 5 - 8 yrs. old)

PBS KIDS ODD Squad is coming to Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, June 6th.

This is a call to Parents and/or caregivers of children 5 to 8 years old who will help us field test 3 PBS Kids games. The theme for all activities focuses onPBS KIDS ODD Squad Show.

Parents and Kids will play together in educational fun games, where the kids will be the “Agents” solving “Odd Problems” that involve “Stealth Math” and “Wacky Gadgets”. All children who complete the course will receive an “Agent” ODD Squad badge.

Early Childhood Workshops

Community Based Professional Development

The Yuma Region Partnership Council, in collaboration with Eight-Arizona PBS is pleased to announce: Community Based Professional Development for all early childhood educators in Yuma County. Whether you are center-based, school-based or home-based, please plan on attending. No Charge!

All workshops will be held from 8:00am to noon with a light breakfast and check-in at 7:30am.

All sessions will be based around Developmentally Appropriate Practice and will directly apply to what you do every day. Join national and local experts in learning new techniques and practicing the proven methods you use every day.

Yuma Early Literacy Project

Eight-Arizona PBS Educational Outreach will provide a series of six FREE Family Literacy Workshops at various locations throughout Yuma. These 2-hour workshops will enhance your understanding of reading and language development of children birth to 5 years of age. Parents will be provided many FREE materials to enhance literacy with your young child.
