“El Día de los Niños” Festival! April -25

“El Día de los Niños” celebrates children! Many nations throughout the world and especially within the western hemisphere celebrate “Día de los Niños”. This day is designed to honor our children who represent the hopes and dreams of our community. There will be many exciting interactive activities including an Educational Village, Arts & Cultural Village, Environmental Village, physical activity stations and lots of other fun and educational programs.

Early Childhood Workshops

Community Based Professional Development

The Yuma Region Partnership Council, in collaboration with Eight-Arizona PBS is pleased to announce: Community Based Professional Development for all early childhood educators in Yuma County. Whether you are center-based, school-based or home-based, please plan on attending. No Charge!

All workshops will be held from 8:00am to noon with a light breakfast and check-in at 7:30am.

All sessions will be based around Developmentally Appropriate Practice and will directly apply to what you do every day. Join national and local experts in learning new techniques and practicing the proven methods you use every day.

FTF Yuma County Early Childhood Education Conference

The FTF Yuma Regional Partnership Council is sponsoring a Yuma County Early Childhood Conference. This event is open to all in the early childhood community. The conference will be held on April 26, 2014 at Arizona Western College. There will be a keynote address by Cheryl Foster, over 30 breakout sessions and more than 15 exhibitors from the Yuma area community.

Yuma Early Literacy Project

Eight-Arizona PBS Educational Outreach will provide a series of six FREE Family Literacy Workshops at various locations throughout Yuma. These 2-hour workshops will enhance your understanding of reading and language development of children birth to 5 years of age. Parents will be provided many FREE materials to enhance literacy with your young child.
