AZ Department of Education
Effective July 1, 2005 the Arizona Department of Education entered a 3-year agreement with ASSET to pay the ASSET membership fee on behalf of all Arizona K-12 public schools districts and charter schools. This partnership allows all educators in those educational organizations to access all of ASSET’s professional development and curricular resources. ASSET’s education portal can be accessed through the IDEAL (Integrated Data to Enhance Arizona Learning) infrastructure. For more information on ADE, please go to www.ade.az.gov. Arizona State University West Arizona State University (ASU) West offers graduate credit options to AZ educators completing online professional development through ASSET’s PBS TeacherLine courses. For more information about programs at ASU West, please go to www.west.asu.edu.

Northern Arizona University Northern Arizona University (NAU) offers graduate credit options to Arizona educators completing online professional development through ASSET’s PBS TeacherLine courses. For more information about programs at NAU, please go to www.nau.edu.

Northern Arizona University University of Arizona South (UA South) offers graduate credit options to Arizona educators completing online professional development through ASSET’s PBS TeacherLine courses. For more information about programs at UA South, please go to www.uas.arizona.edu.

Intel Teach to the Future ASSET partners with the Intel® Foundation to offer the Intel® Teach to the Future (www.intel.com/education/teach) programs in Arizona. ASSET is a Regional Training Agency for the programs, training over 10,600 Arizona in the past 5 years. Arizona educators have participated in the 40-hour Essentials Course, 24-40 hour Workshop on Teaching Thinking with Technology, and the 4-hour Leadership Forum. ASSET looks forward to offering additional professional development opportunities for Arizona educators through support from the Intel Foundation. iAssessment TrueNorthLogic is an application service provider for ASSET, offering the 360° Full Circle Achievement tools to Arizona educators. This is a suite of educator tools, including 360 Technology (to ascertain technology integration skills) and 360 Math (to ascertain mathematic concept knowledge and pedagogical practices). Each creates a customized professional development program and provides aggregate data for organizational planning. For more information about this partner, please go to www.truenorthlogic.com.

Microsoft ASSET is a MarcoPolo Rollout Partner Organization that provides the local infrastructure to share the program throughout Arizona. The Verizon-MarcoPolo Program (http://www.marcopolo-education.org/) offers high-quality, standards-based, commercial-free Internet resources across the disciplines designed to integrate into the K-12 curriculum. ASSET and MarcoPolo have agreed to work together to deliver MarcoPolo content and training to all K-12 educators in the areas served by ASSET.

Microsoft ASSET is partnering with Microsoft Education’s Partners in Learning program to deliver School Leader Development: Building 21st Century Schools. This instructional leadership tool for leaders of primary and secondary schools serves as a guide for creating a learning environment that prepares students for a modern world.
The unique curriculum combines video, challenge questions, discussions, and expert resources to focus on the following issues facing primary and secondary school leaders:
• Dimensions of change within schools in the 21st century
• Guidance for student learning
• Strategies for success for all students
• Innovative approaches for education
• Strong leadership for all schools

PBS Teacherline ASSET, a self-supporting department of Eight/KAET, is proud to offer PBS TeacherLine to ASSET members across Arizona. ASSET is one of the original 16 local PBS stations selected by PBS to offer TeacherLine’s online professional development opportunities. TEAMS ASSET partners with the LA County Department of Education Office to offer TEAMS Teaching Circles. (http://teachingcircles.lacoe.edu/) This resource, only available in Arizona through ASSET, focuses on providing teachers with online mentoring, resources, and support. TEAMS Teaching Circles provides K-12 classroom teachers with anytime, anywhere eModules that support professional teaching standards, individualized mentoring, teaching tools, and access to hundreds of resources to improve teaching and facilitate learning. United Learning ASSET has partnered with Discovery Education to provide unitedstreaming™. This is a collection of over 5000 digitally streamed instructional videos, and thousands of still images all available via the ASSET Education Portal. Even students can have direct access to this resource collection as provided by their classroom instructor. These videos are aligned to Arizona Academic Standards and some are close captioned. Qwest ASSET has partnered with the Qwest Foundation to create an online educator self-assessment tool designed to improve Early Childhood instruction throughout Arizona. ASSET will also create a free, online kindergarten readiness assessment tool for use by parents and care providers. These assessments, 360° Early Childhood provided by Qwest and Qwest KIP (Kindergartener In-Progress), form the core of a program with the overarching goal of increasing kindergarten readiness levels of Arizona children.
